Housing Asset Manager Wanted in Hounslow for 12 month Fixed-Term Contract

Your new company

We are a property investor with the remit to acquire properties from the local housing market. The properties acquired are mainly let to London Borough of Hounslow (LBH) nominees from LBH's housing waiting list. This allows the LBH housing team to discharge LBH's duty to house people in housing need through permanent, good quality housing. A portfolio of around 190 properties has been acquired so far and a target to acquire a further 200 homes per annum over the next three years has been agreed.

Your new role

You will be responsible for ensuring that the investment property portfolio is of good quality and will work to maximise resident satisfaction with their homes. This key role will be responsible for feeding into consultations on the development of strategies and processes as required. You will ensure that we maintain a good relationship with the London Borough of Hounslow and their lettings team.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing the maintenance of a housing portfolio, understand housing maintenance, the house acquisition process, flat leases and have knowledge of compliance and regulations for rented housing. In addition, the post holder must understand building specifications and small works, have good maintenance diagnostic skills and be able to write specifications.

If you are organised, have good written and numeric skills, are able to establish and maintain rapport with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and you are able to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience, this role could be for you.
