In contrast to a traditional tax role, Paddle offers you the opportunity to partner with our business and engineering team to strengthen our product and secure our tax position. You will report into our Tax Manager and will be supporting Indirect tax compliance and reporting globally (45+ territories and growing) as well as Corporate tax[1] [2] ,US Federal / State income Tax, Franchise Tax and more.

You will help build an efficient and robust tax compliance environment, involved in designing control frameworks as Paddle continues to grow. The role will also be strategic, as you will need to stay abreast of an ever-changing tax landscape and proactively ensure Paddle's continued compliance.

What you'll do

Supporting business operations regarding indirect tax matters, working closely with the Tax Manager and other teams
Reviewing Indirect Tax compliances, reporting and remittance of tax globally
Drive process improvements, efficiency & automation
Researching advanced international indirect tax issues - working with tax authorities and outside advisers as necessary - as part of a tax team involved in support of business initiatives
Identifying and applying best practices for tax processes and reporting strategies
Help design and implement tax systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget
Help maintain policies, procedures and internal controls governing the tax function
Support other matters (EMI Share Options, Budgeting, Forecasting, Company Secretarial)
Provide internal training and raise awareness of indirect tax

We'd love to hear from you if you

Have proven experience in a similar role with Indirect and Direct tax exposure.
You have an ATT/CTA/ADIT or equivalent qualification.
Are comfortable handling complex, large-dataset Excel and Google spreadsheets in the day-to-day of your previous/current roles.
Are good at working with key stakeholders and have great coordination skills.
Can demonstrate strong attention to detail skills and have a strong bias toward action.
Are an ambitious team player who feels accountable for the full team delivery and contributes to a great team spirit.
You are agile, enthusiastic, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

You have experience of managing complex multinational indirect tax operations
You have worked at a Software or SaaS business
