Job description

Owl Recruitment is currently looking to recruit Urban Designers at various levels, to join a renowned international Design Consultancy that is looking to add talent to their team.
Our Client is an award-winning, Design consultancy. They have various office locations around the UK and internationally. They work on a range of spectacular projects across various sectors. They are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Urban Designer to join our busy team in Islington London.
Due to expansion our client is currently looking for additional Urban Designers to join their team at Junior, intermediate and senior levels. This team undertakes a variety of international and national projects across a variety of sectors. They pride themselves on thinking strategically in the context of international city making trends and employ their design skills to create people-orientated places.
The ideal Urban designer would be flexible, adapatable to new concepts and ideas. Resilent, creative thinks with problem solving abilities. An interest in learning, enthusiasm and drive, while being self motivated and passionate.
Proficiency is using AutoCad, Sketchup, Adobe creative suit, Microsoft office, Revit, Rhino and Grasshope experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualification in urban design or architecture
* A strong portfolio showing a wide selection of urban design and masterplanning work across the UK and internationally
* Experience in delivering a variety of scales and contexts including city-wide urban regeneration, urban extensions and new settlements.
* Strong design and technical skills
* Excellent ability to develop, draw and communicate design ideas from early concepts through to technical stages
* Exceptional communication skills. Excellent spoken and written English
* Ability to lead complex projects (senior-level role)
* Ability to lead and mentor junior members of staff (senior-level role)
* A sound understanding of the UK Planning System
* Experience working in the Middle East would be an advantage, but not essential
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Applicants should be motivated all-rounders with a positive attitude and the ability to demonstrate technical abilities, design flair and advanced CAD and presentation skills.
