About Us:

As we invest in our housing, you'll manage relationships with our residents

In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient.

Following the Grenfell tragedy we have brought our social housing stock back under local authority control.

We're now embarking a range of high-profile capital improvement projects and are committed to working closely with local residents and leaseholders whose homes are affected by the building works.

Join this team as an Apprentice, and you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the wellbeing of our residents - while developing the skills required to forge a fantastic career in a high performing local authority.

The Role:

You'll put residents and the local community at the heart of all our plans, making certain they know we are ready to listen and to support them, and ensuring their voices are heard as projects are planned and progressed.

You'll deal with a wide range of issues, from assisting in decanting residents to resolving disputes, you will ultimately work towards achieving the Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 Apprenticeship standard.

Communication will be an important element of the role: you'll attend meetings, presentations and exhibitions for residents, and will advise contractors on resident information packs and messaging across a variety of media.

Encouraged to share your ideas on how to do things better, you will learn a wealth of transferable skills, providing you with an exceptional basis on which to move into any number of industries.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

To join our ambitious and highly inclusive team, you will have a minimum of a Level 1 pass in English and Maths, GCSEs or equivalent. You will also be capable of achieving a Level 2 pass in both subjects before completion of your apprenticeship. You're likely to have background in social housing, construction or customer service and will have a good appreciation of housing policy and site operations.

Used to engaging with a range of different people, from senior management to local residents, you're good at fostering constructive working relationships, solving problems and resolving differences.

Open-minded and forward-thinking, with a can-do attitude, you'll be able to consult and communicate with both empathy and confidence.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply online specifying in your personal statement how you meet the requirements for the role, as set out in the person specification and job description. CVs will not be considered for this application.
