About Us:
Negotiating, Reviewing and Delivering Safe, Cost Effective Contracts.
In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. We are committed to embedding lessons from the Grenfell tragedy and are undertaking a major capital programme to significantly enhance fire and building safety standards across council-owned residential and commercial properties.
Our Housing Management team is putting in place an ambitious plan: to deliver excellent contractor procurement, deliver uncompromising levels of safety across the estate and to achieve our zero carbon emissions target by 2030. We're looking for experienced, highly credible Procurement Managers to deliver lasting and needed change.
The Role:
As a key member of the team, you will:
- Advise and assist managers in the renewal and renegotiation of contracts across the business, helping drive the Council's Procurement Strategy
- Help create, implement and maintain the Contract register, running reports and disseminating information from the system for managers and partners
- Administer tenders (including OJEU tenders), keeping accurate records and audit trails of all tender correspondence.
- Work in conjunction with key stakeholders to develop existing operational procurement workplans in line with our new procurement roadmap.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information
About You:
We are looking for an analytical, data-driven professional with a proven track record in procuring replacement and regeneration contracts. A CIPS (or similar) qualification is essential as is an understanding of FaTS [OJEU] tendering.
You'll have experience work with frameworks and ideally be from a construction or housing background - in another local authority (Housing Associations), or in the NHS, universities or schools.
In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
