Job description

A secondary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint an experienced school HR Officer on a permanent basis, to commence immediately.

This secondary school, rated Good in its most recent Ofsted, strives for excellence, and aims to be the school of choice in its local community. The role of HR Officer will include providing day to day confidential and professional HR Administration services, including but not limited to:

• recruitment and selection
• data management
• Provide day-to-day support and advice to employees in all HR matters and procedures
• processing pension and payroll
• processing DBS checks
• reporting, compliance and general HR administration.

The successful applicant will:

• have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• be a team player and work cohesively with staff across all levels
• be flexible and adaptable and willing to perform additional duties as required by the school
• have previous HR experience within an education environment
• be educated to degree level and ideally hold a HR qualification
