The Role
At London South East College, we deliver high quality education and skills training throughout the region and are committed to attracting and retaining the very best staff talent. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is a creative thinker you need to be a talented individual who can deliver classroom lessons and digital content via online lessons to learners using a range of techniques and webinars.
You will offer students a high-quality learning experience to achieve the goal or qualification. You will develop course materials, schemes of work, lesson plans. and make these available through the colleges shared information system. You will teach effectively on a range of College courses relevant to the curriculum subject, and programme and contribute to the personal development of the students. You will also contribute effectively to the team's collective responsibility for planning, designing and up-dating the programme and its materials and activities, recruitment and interviewing of students, assessment and monitoring student progress, the evaluation of the programme and developing and maintaining links with employers.
Skills and Experience
You will be responsible for effectively contributing to the successful learning experiences of students through producing high quality content for effective classroom and on-line teaching that meets or exceeds college standards and results in high levels of student engagement, student retention and achievement. This role is a key role in the Sports and Public services department ensuring learners have the best experience possible.
You will be qualified or working towards a teaching qualification in relevant subject. You will have knowledge and understanding of course structures, learning approaches and assessment. Organisational skills in programme planning and delivery is essential. You will have the ability to articulate clearly and to be understood in teaching and making presentations to class groups. It is essential you are a team player with good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, students, parents and external bodies.
