Job description

*Part-time SEN Teaching Assistants required - £70-£85 per day*

Engage Education are working with a SEND school based in the borough of Lewisham to recruit experienced and energetic Teaching Assistants to work with students who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. The school is passionate about promoting an inclusive society, and they strive to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Further details of the role include:

* Part-time - flexible schedules!

* Immediate start

* £70 - £85 per day (depending on experience)

* £150 'refer a friend' scheme

The role will require you to:

* Have high aims for all students

* Provide both 1:1 and small group support

* Creative a fun, stimulating learning environment

* Work as part of a team

* De-escalate challenging behaviours

The ideal candidate will be:

* Experienced in using PECS and Makaton

* Trained in positive handling, e.g. Team Teach

* Experienced in supporting children and young people, ideally in an educational setting

* Experienced in supporting those with Autism

* Experienced in managing challenging behaviours
