1st Line Support Officer - 3 month contract - Temp to Perm - \u00A320.50ph - Hybrid working - London

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced 1st Line Support Officer to work for one of the most prestigious and cultural institutions in London, on a temp to perm basis.

Your new role

As the 1st Line Support Officer, you will be responsible for:

* Working with other members of the IT Support Department to provide a helpdesk service by covering the support of all connected hardware or software
* Providing assistance to other members of the department in support on other general matters where resources are stretched
* Carrying out daily checks to deal with errors and document processing queues for connected systems
* Basic web report writing in MS SQL Reporting Services and preparing MS SQL views of data to run these reports from
* Working with hardware and software vendors or partners to resolve issues and avoid any interruption to retail trading

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced 1st Line Support Officer, with the ability to troubleshoot common PC, network, software and printer issues and capability (or undertake training) to administer user accounts using Microsoft Active Directory.

Ideally you will have experience using \/ supporting one or more of these:

* LS-Retail 2018 and later
* Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 and later
* POS Integrated Credit Card payment systems

Alongside this, you will be able to demonstrate:

* Experience across Retail systems
* Some experience with basic SQL queries and the generation of SSRS web reports
* Working with Microsoft Office 365
* Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with 3rd party support companies where necessary
* A positive attitude to delivering an effective support service, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical colleagues and non-technical individuals

You will work on the basis of 5 days in 7 to provide support on a scheduled basis for key business systems required to be operational 7 days a week. You will need to be prepared to be on-call at weekends for emergency systems issues that affect on-site retail stores. Some flexibility in work start and end time may also be required on occasion to deliver changes or projects at a time when retail activity is not taking place.
