Application Support Analyst - Oracle &\/or Hyperion | London | \u00A350,000 - \u00A355,000

Hays Technology is looking for an Oracle Support expert to become the first point of contact for issues relating to the application & being an intricate part of the Enhancement & Delivery team.

What you will be doing:
In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing first to third line support to multiple teams across multiple locations, not restricted to IT, with a specialisation in applications such as Oracle & Hyperion Planning. Including initial assessment, prioritization, triage and resolution of incidents and requests regarding the use of Business Application Software products and\/or user technology components.

Who you will be working for:
This role is situated within one of the largest & most recognisable Healthcare Insurance providers in the world with over 31 million customers worldwide. This business is currently undergoing a transition from Cognos Planning Analytics & Cognos Analytics to Oracle EPBCS and have therefore got a need for an Oracle expert to join their business and assist with everyday running of the application.

What we are looking for:

* Proven track record in implementing\/using applications in commercial organisations
* Knowledge of project lifecycle Knowledge of relevant software and hardware infrastructure and requirements
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload
* Ability to work without oversight
* Ability to transfer knowledge of specialism(s) to other team members
* Experience of\/ability to prepare and manage testing process
* Understanding of databases, table structures, consolidation and reporting issues Knowledge of process improvement and project management methodologies
* Significant experience using Financial Planning, Actuarial or Risk & Compliance software packages.
* High interpersonal skills to enable partnership with IT and business stakeholders operating at all levels within the organisation.
* Strong analytical thinker, capable of sound decision-making.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills with the confidence and ability to build good working relationships with key stakeholders, IS and users.
* Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking and have the broad knowledge and commercial aptitude to contribute ideas on all aspects of the organisation.
