Job description

Led by a forward-thinking leadership team, we work across 4 UK regions to form multi-disciplinary teams that provide services that are well thought-out and environmentally sustainable.

We have a significant number of existing clients and project work and are continually identifying new clients within our regions. We are going through an exciting growth period and need to develop and expand our engineering capability. The type of work you might be involved in will vary considerably; from multi-million-pound highway improvements to town centre regeneration projects, bus priority schemes, cycle ways, public realm enhancements and many more. You will be challenged but fully supported to develop into a highly competent senior leader. You will be responsible for developing construction packs, applying NEC contract requirements, CDM regulations and technical approvals. You will have the opportunity to meet clients face to face and develop your own personal relationships with client managers. You will also be provided with considerable commercial responsibility, developing quality and fee submissions, and managing several projects to deliver within budget and programme constraints.

We have roles available across all levels but this Associate Director for Highways Engineering is a critical position for us. The successful candidate will line manage experienced engineering staff and oversee the performance of several delivery teams and projects. You will be a service area lead and have considerable responsibility and flexibility to recruit resources and grow your service area.
You will currently be in a similar role or have demonstrable experience and be looking for your next career move. Ideally you should have at least 10 to 15 years' experience plus within Highways Engineering. We are flexible on location depending on where you live and wish to be based, with roles in our West region from our Slough office base, or in central London. We embrace flexible working and are happy to accommodate part home working, but with the understanding that you will be leading teams and will need to form close working relationships, meet with your clients, and visit sites in person on occasion.

For the right candidate we will be offering an attractive salary and benefits package.

The position comes with the following salary and benefits:

£Negotiable plus benefits
Pension scheme
Private health cover
27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Opportunities for development
Flexible working policy
Paid professional membership
Performance related commission bonuses
