The Role

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated and driven individual looking to work in copywriting and editorial whilst also having an operational and organised approach.

Our recipes, ingredients and authenticity are what sets us apart from others in the market. The quality of our step by step recipe methods is highly imperative to the customer's experience and success of our recipes.

We're looking for a confident individual to own and manage the end-to-end process of the production of our weekly recipe cards. Working with the wider operations and marketing teams, you will work collaboratively to realise efficiencies in the editorial process and get the most from everyone involved in the producing the weekly recipe cards. This will require the coordination of recipes straight from the development kitchen, the process of proofreading and sense checking, organisation of design work, timelines and final operational sign off before sending to print, ready for our customers' boxes the following week.

Responsibilities

End to end responsibility for the weekly reprint of recipe cards. This includes briefing design, proofreading recipe methods, applying edits and final sign off for print.
Creation of new recipe cards. This includes the initial write up of recipes from development kitchen notes, timely briefing of design, co-ordination of photography assets to design and quality checks on first draft of cards
Communicate content queries from all process contributors in a timely manner to ensure prompt delivery of work
Work with the wider Ops team to drive continuous improvement when it comes to written quality, consistency and accuracy of recipe methods
Work with Marketing to implement the brand style and tone into the recipe cards
Work with Marketing to include brand collaborations in printed assets and provide recipe card mock up, or redesign suggestions, to win partnership opportunities
Collate and read customer feedback on recipe cards from various sources, analyse and subsequently implement changes
Lead in the standardisation of a consistent tone of voice within the recipe editorial process
Contribute to briefing our photography team to ensure our brand style is consistent
Not be afraid of rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in design, editorial and proofreading requirements across the business.

About you

You thrive on working in a fast paced environment, have a meticulous attention to detail and will not tire of reading and writing about food! You must be proactive, resourceful and have a relentless drive.

Requirements

Experience using Adobe Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop)
Exceptional written English.
High attention to detail, you will have meticulous proofreading skills.
Interest in food, recipes and an avid recipe book reader.
Strong communicator, you will have excellent people skills.
Hands-on attitude to producing work to the highest standard.
You embrace change and adapt quickly to business priorities.
Ability to perform multiple tasks with a problem-solving attitude to make effective decisions in a fast paced environment.
You're not afraid to disrupt the status quo or head up new projects
You're customer-focused, obsessed with customer experience and driven to deliver a quality product that is second to none.
You'll be self-motivated to proactively improve processes and products and be able to implement changes effectively.
