We currently have an exciting opportunity for a site based Security Manager. The ability to manage the security team in providing an efficient, flexible and motivated team is pivotal to the success of this role.
We are seeking a Security Manager with excellent planning, organisational and commercial skills together with experience to recognise opportunities.
Job purpose:
The overall management control of the sites' security operation (high-end legal firm) ensuring our clients security requirements are met and fulfilled to a high standard and the management of the Security Team and sites procedures ensuring the retention of the contract for Corps Security.
Role requirements:
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
Previous Security Management experience.
A frontline Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence is required for the role.
Intermediate level PC Skills (MS Office)
5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards - BS7858
FOH abilities are paramount
Presentation, ability and a five star approach are required
Duties include:
Adopting the principles of the Colleague Charter, be responsible for all operational colleagues and have a full understanding of the functions covered including - manned guarding, electronic solutions such as CCTV & access control, key holding, post room, reception and general business support.
To liaise and meet with customers and key clients on a regular basis to review & record contract performance, agree budgets and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained, leading to contract retention. Particular note should be made of the Customer Charter guidelines
To be responsible for manning levels of contracted, ad-hoc and special events as per customer requirements including, recruitment, screening and vetting with Duty Managers, Administrators and Central Scheduling ensuring that sufficient and suitable relief staff are available
To ensure the safety & well-being of both customer staff & Corps colleagues are maintained including:
Assignment Instructions maintained accurately and up to date
Welfare visits completed to schedule
Risk Assessments both Corps & customer available and up to date
Colleague sickness, holidays, absence & overtime are managed in accordance with Corps policies and customer requirements, appropriately supported by HR department
Health & Safety & Quality policies are adhered to and any incidents or discrepancies fully investigated and/or suggested areas for improvement are reported
Equipment and vehicles are checked as per manufacturers guidelines and the relevant reports are submitted
Key contract information and customer files including but not restricted to those above, should be maintained in line with the company quality policy and People Planner system updated accordingly
Monitor and manage revenue and costs in line with the current contract costing model and prepare monthly forecasts in line with accounting requirements
Lead, manage and motivate direct reports including goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development planning
Identify areas for additional business from both current & potential customers and provide ongoing support to the Business Development team to grow the business
Manage your on-going training and career development, attending training sessions as and when required, and actively seek out internal & external networking opportunities to keep updated of industry innovations and developments
You may be asked to undertake additional duties as and when required
Flexible working will be expected, including out of hours i.e. nights & weekends
Other duties as directed by the customer
