Director of Cloud Engineering - DevOps/SRE

Role

This is a highly technical, client facing engineering delivery role responsible for the end-to-end customer cloud enablement experience.

Your impact

• Own the technical delivery engagement including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs of concept and deployment.
• Lead, mentor and collaborate with multidisciplinary global project teams
• Assume the role of engineering lead on the design and development of the latest technologies around cloud architecture, infrastructure automation and network security
• Contribute to business development, market leading cloud propositions and accelerators for enterprise scale clients, developing relationships at all levels
• Ensure that Publicis Sapient tracks market leading technology trends with the Cloud market space and contribute to the conversation through thought leadership articles, blog posts and customer connect forums

Your Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in a senior engineering/architecture position within a software & services company
• Extensive experience of architecture, design, implementation and support of enterprise scale distributed applications designed to run in the cloud or across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Deep understanding of the core cloud infrastructure services such Compute, Storage, Networking, Database services from one or more leading platforms GCP, Azure, AWS and extensive experience architecting and implementing highly available & reliable cloud-native solutions
• Hands-on experience with design and implementation of production grade infrastructure as code solutions using one or more of Terraform (preferred), Puppet, Chef or Ansible
• Application Programming/Scripting background in one or more of Java, Bash, Groovy or Python
• Knowledge of container and implementing containers platforms using Docker, GKE, AKS
• Knowledge of best practices around security, reliability and performance
• Sufficient understanding of networking, monitoring and operating production workloads
• Working knowledge of AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
• Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices, including automation, continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and continuous integration methodologies
• Deep understanding of cloud computing business drivers, emerging computing trends, cloud-based business continuity and disaster recovery practices
• Technical stewardship of globally distributed technology teams
• Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts & ensuring follow through
