NHS Elective Care Recovery Manager - Theatres and Outpatients
Practicus are partnering with a London based NHS organisation who are urgently seeking a General Manager for Theatres, Outpatients and Elective Care Recovery.

Purpose - You will use your skills as a seasoned GM and recovery manager to ensure this Trust solves problems with RTT and Elective Care recovery. You will have the support of 2 service managers for theatres and outpatients.

The Difference in this role is that you will take ownership of the backlog, work internally with theatre utilisation, productivity, and the wider health system to share resources, and solve capacity issues. This is much more than a BAU role and an opportunity to use your experience to deliver a solution that would have a large impact on the care that patients receive, ensuring they are seen before things get serious.

The role is both interesting and challenging because by working across the health system both internally and externally you could improve the productivity and efficiency of theatres and deliver the recovery of their elective care services. As well as impacting the lives of their patients for the better, the role will help the Trust meet its financial sustainability position by meeting RTT targets. This would provide further opportunities for the Trust to improve other services across the hospital.

To deliver this we require an experienced Elective Care Recovery Manager with an eye for spotting opportunities to solve efficiency and capacity problems and deliver the Elective Care recovery programme.

Experience:
* Experience of Elective Care Recovery and RTT
* Worked to General Manager level with experience in how to improve theatres utilisation and productivity
* Experience of insourcing and outsourcing to solve demand and capacity problems
* Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate with both clinical and non-clinical staff at any level.
* Passionate about your work and can inspire others.

RATE: £49.59 - £58.38 per hour, onsite at least 4 days a week
LENGTH: 3 - 6 months initially
START: November 2021
