Electrical Contract Supervisor required for our client, one of the fastest growing companies in the specialist area of Electrical Inspection & Testing and Building Compliance

They are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join the Operations team as an Electrical Contract Supervisor. Ideally, candidates will have previously held an equivalent position.

The successful candidate will work within the Operations Department, in conjunction with the existing Contracts Managers, Scheduling Team and Engineering Workforce to ensure the smooth running of assigned works.

Electrical Contract Supervisor Position Overview

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for overseeing inspection & testing programmes across the portfolio of one client (educational institution).

Reporting to the dedicated Contract Manager, the Electrical Contract Supervisor's time will be split between on-site work with the engineering team and regular meetings with building managers / stakeholders to agree schedules and processes ahead of inspection visits, including negotiating for building shutdowns. The main purpose being to ensure the disruption of client site critical activities is minimised, while also maintaining a continuation of work.

Secondary duties will involve updating of technical records, following the completion of the initial inspection, and building shutdown. These are then to be installed throughout sites to replace existing records.

Material procurement and access management responsibilities will be necessary to facilitate remedial works, mainly as standalone projects following the inspection, but also during the inspection exercise itself.

Electrical Contract Supervisor Position Requirements

Be qualified to 18thEdition with at least C&G 2382 and 2391 (or equivalent) respectively.
Have a strong knowledge base around Microsoft/Windows applications and electrical certification software.
Be suitably experienced around Electrical Installation Condition Reports and other electrical certification.
Hold a valid UK driving licence.
Be able to communicate well at all levels and represent the company in a professional manner.
Be comfortable assessing the conduct/practices of members of the site-based workforce, offering guidance and support where necessary.
Be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, especially where Service Delivery and Health & Safety are concerned.

Electrical Contract Supervisor Position Remuneration

£38-40k per annum basic, with the opportunity for overtime.
