Professional Support Lawyer (Finance) - 7+ PQE (3 days\/week)

Your new role

The role is based within the knowledge management team, who are looking for an additional Professional Support Lawyer (Finance) to join their team of 8 Professional Support Lawyers and two Knowledge Management Paralegals.

The banking and finance practice within this firm consists of matters relating to both domestic and international banks, and other financial institutions. The type of work ranges from infrastructure and project finance, shipping and aviation finance and leasing, trade finance and private equity, as well as regulatory issues, complex accounting issues, investment fraud, and banking and finance related litigation.

The role of the Finance PSL will be to work with the knowledge management team to expand and promote the knowledge management function within the finance practice, as well as amongst the wider firm.

What you'll need to succeed

* Track record of high quality fee earning experience undertaking finance work (at least 7 years' PQE) gained in-house or, ideally, within a global law firm;
* Previous experience working as a PSL, or the ability to demonstrate an active involvement in KM initiatives whilst a fee earner;
* Excellent drafting skills;
* Good presentation skills;
* Keen interest in business development, marketing, professional training and development;
* Project management skills, and ability to motivate and influence others to achieve goals;
* Self-motivated and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels;
* Good working knowledge of the main IT packages; familiarity with intranets and internet, and a process driven approach to matter management;
* A strong commitment to promoting the benefits of knowledge sharing.
