An exciting opportunity has opened with the introduction of new roles in critical care across Barts Health.
We are looking to recruit Fundamentals of Care Support Workers who will work under the supervision of the critical care nurses, doctors and other members of the team.
This role directly contributes to the delivery of patient care, which includes elements of fundamentals of care such as washing, turning, feeding and the observation of patients and caring for patients who are delayed discharge from critical care. It is an important role to support the delivery of care to critically ill patients to aid their recovery and support end of life with compassion and dignity.
We want to hear from you if you are naturally caring and compassionate and want to learn new skills. Ideally you would be experienced in working within an appropriate care environment however in depth training and support will be provided.
You will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills, be honest, reliable, and hardworking and be a good team player.
You will be required to work within a challenging clinical environment, caring for acutely unwell patients, some of whom may be recovering from Covid and undertake shift work which will include nights and weekends.
This post is aimed to support the team over winter, if you are shortlisted, you will be interviewed and if successful available to start once all checks are complete.
Shortlisted candidates will have a Maths and English test; successful candidates will then go on for interview.
