18.75 hours per week - 4 days
32,000 pro rata - 16,000 for part time
Fixed term until June 2022
1 role based in South London
1 covering West, East and North London

Our client has been supporting women and children in London escaping domestic violence and abuse for over 40 years, empowering women to overcome trauma, rebuild their lives free from fear, and regain their independence.

They have an excellent opportunity for a Pathways Coordinator to join the team and be responsible for training advocates and keyworkers around housing and homelessness legislation impacting on women affected by the criminal justice system. You will also be responsible for the below:

* Develop effective partnerships with local authorities and other housing providers in various boroughs across London and create system changes that improve housing outcomes for women involved in the criminal justice system
* Improve capacity of colleagues to manage complex casework for service users experiencing or at risk of homelessness
* Development of referral pathways and gain an understanding of each borough's provision around homelessness
* Develop knowledge and understanding of case workers on how to provide information and advice to service users
* Identify & strengthen links with local authorities and other housing providers to support the development of housing pathways
* Support the utilisation of Private Rented Sector accommodation as a housing option
* Build and maintain links with housing law solicitors and local law centres to provide a point of contact for key workers

To be considered for this role you will need experience of supporting vulnerable people within the housing sector. You will also need:

* Knowledge of the impact that contact with the criminal justice system and imprisonment have upon women and their children
* Up to date in depth knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation relating to Criminal Justice, Housing, Safeguarding, welfare benefit systems, Child Protection etc.
* Sound knowledge of the housing law and legal rights of women within the homelessness sector.
* Knowledge of private rented sector housing
