The opportunity has arisen to work for a very well known government regulator based in Canary Wharf, London

Your new role

You will be responsible for the information security governance across a number of programmes of work. You will have a consultative approach and have the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders, explaining technical subjects in a non-technical manner and will help guide the organisation through a period of significant technological and business change, supporting varied stakeholders to ensure success.

You will play a key part of the project teams helping guide the organisation through a significant period of change. The change will impact the way we deliver IT services to internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring that we maintain the security and identify and mitigate risk is essential for the organisation to remain complaint.

What you'll need to succeed

* Working in information security in a similar sized organisation or larger
* Working as part of project team helping to introduce new systems or deliver significant change
* Assisting in digital transformation
* Experience of establishing or working closely with a SOC
* Knowledge of cloud adoption, particularly IaaS delivery
* Working knowledge of the HR system workday Security architecture
* Experience of implementing managed services being used to support a number of different functions within our digital world
* Knowledge of corporate governance from an information security and compliance perspective
* Developing information security policies and successfully implementing them across a range of organisational areas - working with the ISO27001 framework
* Using excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels in a way they can understand - sometimes managing conflict and having difficult conversations
* Scoping and managing penetration tests for a portfolio of systems and hosted services having knowledge and experience of vulnerability management
* Being able to work with and manage a small team of security professionals, including coaching and monitoring performance - this also includes supervising people in wider project teams
* Planning and prioritising in a changing, busy environment
* Building strong relationships both internally and external stakeholders

What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a 6 month contract and a competitive day rate that is outside scope of IR35.
