Precision Reinsurance Technician/Senior Business Analyst

£80,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits.

My prestigious client is looking for an individual with a wealth of Reinsurance knowledge (Treaty (proportional and non-proportional) and Facultative.

You must have come from a strong insurance background and have some IT experience (SQL) and maybe some Business Analysis experience. Possibly a Reinsurance Technician who is looking to move into a more IT technical role.

The team is well-established and has a cooperative approach. You will be providing expertise to my clients, clients and build strong working relationships.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

Excellent knowledge of Insurance industry processes and procedures gained through direct industry experience, preferably London Market, with a strong technical/IT background

Specific knowledge of reinsurance with understanding of how reinsurance programmes work. This includes Facultative, Proportional and Excess of Loss reinsurance policies. Understanding of reinstatement provisions, inuring benefit, premium adjustment calculation, and other specific reinsurance processes is also a pre-requisite.

Initiative, impact, and influence - must have the gravitas and ability to drive and lead programmes of change within the customer and my client

Knowledge and experience of working to a formal project methodology

Experience in planning and leading workshops and converting inputs into business, functional and detailed design specifications

Dynamic and decisive - utilising escalation routes and driving the desired outcome from a risk and commercial perspective

Demonstrable aptitude for analysing application issues and solving problems

Understand all phases of the development life cycle and the risks associated with each phase

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to clearly present information to business users and stakeholders

Available to travel to client sites when required

Self-motivated, high-energy levels and prepared to put in the extra effort when required

Whilst the list of the essential skills is very much focussed on IT my client would consider a Reinsurance Technical who would like to move into a more IT related role.

London Market Insurance Knowledge

Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or equivalent

Structured Analysis Methods
