Project Manager (12-month Fixed term contract)

City of London/Remote

£55,000 - £59,000 per annum

On behalf of a City of London based financial services client, I am seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in an Agile financial services environment on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. Reporting into the Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for Project Delivery, directing and motivating project teams, running a number of projects simultaneously on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of multiple medium to large Projects
  • Successful delivery of a project to time, budget, scope and capable of delivering the expected benefits.
  • Ensuring that the project is consistent with PMO standards and Governance
  • Ensure that the Projects is adequately planned and well structured, resolving issues and initiating corrective action where necessary.
  • Provide analysis and forecasting to help support overall delivery of Change portfolio
  • Prepare and maintain project, stage and exception plans
  • Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans
  • Ensure project reports and documents are prepared and delivered on time and to high quality
  • Maintain an awareness of potential inter-dependencies with other projects and their impact
  • Manage project administration
  • Conduct a project evaluation review to assess how well the project was managed.
  • Manage the communication with all stakeholders
  • Comply with the organisations Information Security Policy, and all subordinate policies and local procedures.
  • Protect the organisation assets in line with the requirements set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Experience/Skills required:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a Project Management capacity, preferably within a financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Agile Foundation & Practitioner, Prince 2 Foundation & Practitioner Qualified
  • Advanced level written and oral communication skills to support report writing and presentations to stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Line management or Team leadership experience
  • Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Process improvement experience.
