Hays Technology is looking for an Senior Application Support Analyst to work within the Front Office Application Support team to be the point of contact with regards to all Front Office & Post Trade application including trade capture, market data, settlement and clearing systems and their associated client applications as well as overnight risk calculation systems and the business systems used by control and support departments.

What you will be doing: In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for all business users, supporting all trade and back office platforms offered to both internal and external client base. There will also be a requirement to manage vendor system upgrades and implementations.

What we are looking for:

* Experience gained in financial markets or financial services background, ideally banking.
* Ability to build strong relationship with Application Development Teams and Business sponsors
* General front to back knowledge of the flow for trading\/clearing\/operational process in settlement of futures and OTC Energy trade
* Powershell, Python, Rest api, locally developed apps, Windows OS, Linux Redhat\/Centos, SQL, Oracle
* Good knowledge of server-side trading infrastructure specifically in Derivatives & Commodities systems
* Good working knowledge of Fix Messaging protocol including support experience
* Strong background in Windows, Linux\/Unix OS, including SQL & Oracle database architecture
* Good knowledge of market connectivity protocols for key global derivative, commodity exchanges; CME, Eurex, ICE, Euronext, LME, Montreal, SGX.
* Good experience in exchange and vendor management with a view to project manage exchange\/system critical upgrades
* Experience in technical onboarding of new API's & systems
* Prior experience in a consultative sales support role, liaising directly with clients in a technical capacity
* Proven ability to show a proactiveness in picking up issues and improving existing processes
