We are looking for a dynamic and talented Senior Business Development Manager to join our Performance Data team. This is a hybrid role requiring both account management and new business skills. You would be responsible for, pitching and closing new business prospects and selling, whilst also using your relationship management and negotiation skills to upsell and renew existing clients via telephone and email communications. You will also be managing others and creating a team which you will train to achieve targets.

What you would be doing:

  • Generate new business and grow existing accounts across our Performance Data's GxR 100 products.
  • Develop in-depth market and sector knowledge of clients and competitors that is shared within the company to enhance the client experience and product development.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet and exceed new business and renewal targets.
  • Manage more junior members of the team, taking an active role in their training and personal development within the company.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 4-5 years of new business sales experience in a telephone and email-based role.
  • Previous experience selling within the legal or professional services market is desirable, but not essential.
  • A first-class track record of sales performance, excellent rapport building, negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience of using a CRM system.
  • An aptitude for working towards targets and deadlines and devising a personal strategy to hit and exceed them.
  • Experience of line management and training others.
