Job description

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Hydrology, Drainage, Environmental Management and Air Quality, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a bespoke team in Central London.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Hydrology or Environmental Management and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Mitigation, Surface Water and Foul Water Drainage Strategy and SuDS Designs using Microdrainage.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing projects related to historical builds or stately homes.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to complete varied Drainage, Flood Mitigation, Green Infrastructure and Sustainable Projects spanning the Residential and Commercial and Industrial Sectors for Private Sector Clients. You will have the opportunity to complete drainage and flood risk projects for historical builds, hospitals, schools, laboratories and stadiums.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be supported to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Complex Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies.

-Complex Drainage and Sewerage Design for sustainable builds using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.

-Sustainable Design ensuring Biodiversity.
