We are currently working with a global media company who are responsible for producing a number of emblematic brands. The company's content reaches over 80 million consumers in print, over 350 million in digital and close to 380 million via social media platforms, generating more than a billion video views each month.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
We are looking to find a Senior Engineer to join the Global engineering team headquartered in London. We want to find individuals with great experience who are passionate about delivering the best code and working with some of the biggest brand names in the world. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with working across the full stack and be looking to learning and getting new experiences.

1. Supporting your Tech Lead and Engineering Manager in technical decision making, solutionizing and estimations.
2. Working within a cross-functional team that includes designers, UX engineers, and Product.
3. Pairing with members of your team to identify the most optimal solution. Regularly conducting code reviews to ensure high standards of engineering quality in the code that we write.
4. Shipping features and services that impact a large audience worldwide.
5. Working on our Front End apps; we use React.js and Next.js
6. Working in collaboration with Platform, SRE and Architecture teams as and when necessary.
7. Contributing to technical decision-making, solutionizing and estimations.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Expert knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js, React.js.
2. Practical experience of building robust solutions at large scale.
3. You are curious to learn about every part of the stack; from the latest JavaScript standards, to GraphQL, to accessibility, and the infrastructure we deploy to.
4. You're someone who'll own every step of the development process; from refining tickets to shipping the code to production.

Desirable Skills/Experience

Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Appreciation for the functions of Product and Design in building impactful products, experience working in cross-functional teams.
2. Good understanding of Cloud Native architecture, containerisation, Docker, AWS, CI/CD and DevOps culture.
3. Openness to working with a global team across different time zones.
4. You can communicate in a variety of media (through Slack and in person) effectively
