Senior Solution Architect - \u00A3500 Per Day Outside IR35 - 12 Month Contract

You will be working for one of the largest public sector bodies in the UK which looks after the transport network in London.

Your new role

The Client is looking for a Solution Architect to join a small team of architects that support on-street transport services. They are developing and implementing products to support a number of projects, some of which include:

* Back office systems to manage the road network, identify congestion and support the resolution of incidents.
* Front and back office systems to support bus location tracking, real-time arrival information services and real-time performance management.
* Compliance, enforcement and safety systems for on-street compliance checks and fare evasion.

The architects work with various different teams across the organisation and now they are looking for a Solution Architect who is able to take initiative \/ ownership of allocated projects and see them through to completion.

What you'll need to succeed

* Solution Architect Experience; understand solution architecture deliverables and their contribution to the overall delivery process
* Understand common solution design patterns. For example, systems interface patterns, high transaction\/low latency integration, micro services
* Strong Stakeholder management, especially at senior level. Be able to communicate clearly at different levels, to people with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
* Ability to collaboratively work within an agile development team.
* Understand how GIS systems work, how to manage data, share services and integrate GIS into operational systems.
* Cloud technologies and solution design (Azure \/ AWS)
* Experience in handling \/ managing delivery aspects of projects (supply \/ procurement of new products \/ systems for projects, etc.)
* Systems integration (interface definition, management, standard data models, etc)
* Ideally, experience of working on transport \/ infrastructure projects.

In this role you will be working with a variety of different teams \/ stakeholders, predominately on the initial stages of projects, to introduce \/ develop new solutions and products for the business. Due to the requirements of the team right now, they are looking at architects with delivery experience (those who have advised \/ introduced new products for projects; worked with development teams and have actively supported projects through to successful completion).
