We are now looking to recruit an Academic Mentor who is committed to providing learning support to pupils and small groups who need it the most. We need exceptional people who will be inspirational role models to our pupils and work with both teachers and the wider school community to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make rapid academic progress.

This is a great opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in primary teaching and could lead to the opportunity of training to be a teacher with the Ark Teacher Training programme in 2022 - 23. Our recent Academic Mentors have successfully gained a place on the programme and are now working towards Qualified Teaching Status with us. We invest in our teachers as they aspire to continually develop their practice and become outstanding practitioners and leaders.

You will additionally benefit from a custom program of online training via Liverpool Hope University. This will be one week of training for qualified teachers and two weeks for Graduates. During the training you will take part in live group sessions covering modules including: Behaviour Management, Peer Assessment, Planning and Assessment as well as subject specific content.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • have experience working with young people in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • have a strong academic background in English and Mathematics
  • have the desire and enthusiasm to help deliver outstanding teaching
  • be committed to Ark Bentworth's ethos of high expectations
  • have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of pupils

In return, we offer a variety of development opportunities including high quality CPD training and Ark network hub days. In addition, we offer attractive remuneration as well as a range of benefits including free private healthcare, reduced gym membership and large retail discounts.

If you share our commitment to providing an outstanding learning environment, then we look forward to hearing from you.
