The Accounting Reporting and Control (ARC) Analyst is a key member of the Future Mobility and Solutions (FM&S) team.

This role is responsible for handling all ARC activities of the central FM&S team. The successful incumbent will also support the ARC lead in the set-up of financial processes of new business and will work with Global Business Services (GBS) to deliver the finance support and realise continuous improvement opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes in accordance with the Group Reporting Manual and any other relevant policy and procedures
  • Review of actuals to assess result plausibility and ensure variances are understood, working with the Planning, Performance and Management (PPM) analyst to provide insights and commentary around the integrated performance to support overall management of the business
  • Support the ARC Lead in the set-up of financial processes (including master data set up) of new investments
  • Provide control input into business activities and advise the business on accounting and control matters , procurement process
  • Support the ARC lead in the review and sign off of the UK statutory accounts
  • Build and maintain proactive partnership with the business, functional support and GBS ensuring engagement with key partners to maintain business connectivity.
  • Provide support to Finance system implementations and transformation programmes.
Essential Education:
  • University degree and accounting qualification (CFA, ACA, CIMA, ACMA, etc.) or MBA, or studying towards these qualifications.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
  • Strong numerical, analytic skills and business acumen
  • Understanding of key control processes and reporting and control requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with key partners and peers with a track record of working and influencing across all partner levels
  • Experience of business partnering supporting key partners and advising on accounting, reporting and control aspects driving compliance
  • Self-starter with proven capability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge in SAP
Desirable Criteria:
  • Proven experience in finance
  • Financial reporting and control experience in the energy industry
