About The Role
We are seeking Qualified Assistant Practitioners to join us on a full time, permanent basis across our mobile fleet in the South of the UK working 36 hours per week. This role attracts a salary of £21,573-£25,500 per annum (dependant on experience) and due to the extensive travel, you will be provided with a company vehicle.
It is an essential requirement that you have a qualification to enable you to practice as an Assistant Practitioner
We are ideally seeking Assistant Practitioners who have a working clinical experience/knowledge and scope of practice of either X-ray, Mammography, Interventional or MRI/CT.
IV Skills are desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
If you do not have prior clinical experience in MRI/CT or X-ray, we are still happy to consider your application on the basis that you have the relevant qualification as we are able to provide full training via our clinical training pathway in MRI/CT
You will perform a broad-range of basic MRI/CT examinations in accordance with an agreed system of work, whilst assisting and supporting radiographic staff in their general duties. Optimising patient care throughout the service delivery and providing the best possible customer care to all clients; in line with all relevant legislation including both AML and site policies and procedures and in accordance with Health and Safety, Information and Clinical Governance requirements and IR(ME)R regulations.

Professional Responsibilities
Work within relevant legal and ethical frameworks, site protocols and procedures to ensure the delivery of a quality service and report any changes required to the Clinical Lead/Unit Manager
Ensure that you are working within your agreed Scope of Practice for the modality and location specified
Maintaining competency through Continuing Professional Development
Ensuring that you meet the requirements of the mandatory training as set out by AML
Ensuring patient safety is maintained at all times through up to date knowledge of policies and procedures
Undertaking regular clinical audit of imaging undertaken
Maintaining a log book of all examinations you undertake
Working within the requirements of IR(ME)R as an Operator

Required Skills and Experience
It is an essential requirement that you have a qualification to enable you to practice as an Assistant Practitioner.
You will be working in a patient facing role so the ability to communicate effectively and build an excellent rapport with both patients and colleagues is essential. You will also need strong time management skills to optimize patient throughput and unit efficiency.
