Job description

This is a great opportunity to join a company and develop in to the role over an 18-24 month period.

This is a new role is designed to assist two key compliance managers in this whole SHEQ area to ensure activities are being run legally and ethically and in full compliance with applicable industry regulations and internal procedures. Constant ongoing reviews and audits of the company's ethical & operational standards is a necessary part of the role. Whilst initially the role is to support the two key managers, the intention is to quickly mentor and develop the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities of the role are: During the initial training period the role will heavily biased shadowing experienced and competent colleagues to process as much learning as possible.

Short Term • Keeping all public notice boards up to date • Manage and communicate the Feedback card process. • Ensure all risk assessments are up to date. • Maintaining all relevant employee record sheets e.g. PPE forms, inductions etc • Regular visits and inspections to all external sites • Weekly checks of interlocking systems between site 1 & 2 • Weekly checks on all fire alarms , fire extinguishers first aid kits etc • Site Inductions (New Starters, Visitors, Contractors) • Assist HSQE Manager with accidents, incidents and near misses

Medium Term • Complete and distribute SHEQ KPI's monthly • Full organisation, planning and administration of regular SHEQ meetings • Contribute towards the upkeep of existing SHEQ policies and procedures • Assist with preparation and delivery of toolbox talks • Assist with maintenance of the SHEQ system incl document control and scanning etc • Assistance with emergency drills at all sites

Long Term • Assist other company stakeholders i.e. sales team with completing ITT and PQQ's etc • Getting best value pricing for items and services required • Assist and prepare for all audits both internal and external and close out all ensuing actions. • Complete audits on our existing management system • Reviewing RAMS for all contractors • Assisting with Assist with completing method statements (Construction) • Generating and updating Risk assessments • Assist within All EA enquiries and inspections and closing out of actions raised • Monitoring of Environmental aspects across all sites ( Noise, Dust, Complaints etc ) • Assist with sampling and administration of testing • Assist with completing quarterly EA and Hazardous waste returns. • Dealing with response to environmental complaints

Key competencies of the role • Be self-motivated with an analytical mind and a keen eye for detail • Ambitious dynamic go getter with a real can do attitude and not afraid to roll up your sleeves if necessary • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Experience of working in a fast paced environment and the ability to balance and prioritise working with two senior managers

Qualifications • Full Drivers Licence • In depth Microsoft skills with advanced knowledge of Word, Powerpoint and Excel • As mentioned above this is a developing role so we envisage that we will be providing suitable SHEQ qualifications to provide a rounded candidate with appropriate on the job training an
