Job description

We are seeking an SEMH LSA to support a Key Stage 3 student on a 1-2-1 basis starting as soon as possible. This student has had an extended period of time out of school and you will be supporting them with their mental health and attendance as they settle back into school.

The student will be tutored in Maths, English and Science by tutors in school and you will work alongside these to offer pastoral support to the student whilst they learn. They will be attending school on an part-time basis so you can work from 8.15am until 12.30pm, or alternatively from 8.15am until 3pm if you would prefer full-time hours.

This role is on-going for as along as the student attends school and the school is based in Kingswood.

It is absolutely essential for this role that you have had previous experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and you are confident working in working with students with challenging behaviour.

If you drive and have access to a car on a daily basis this would be advantageous as there is the potential for you to collect the student from home each morning and bring them into school.

To be a successful for this role you must:

Be able to demonstrate experience of working with disengaged students

Be confident in working with students demonstrating challenging behaviour

Be committed to the development and progress of your student

The rate of pay for this role is £1,540 to £1,753.40 per month
