Senior Business Development Manager/Business Development Director

*Location:* Homebased with travel

*Salary:* £60,000 + Commission

Are you an experienced business development manager with an entrepreneurial mindset?

My client is looking for a digitally savvy client focused sales executive with a proven track record of winning and developing key accounts, within an online/digital B2B environment.

You will be working with Pharma/MedTech/Healthcare clients. Consulting them on a range of data driven & multi-channel marketing solutions, such as:

* Engagement Services - CRM and data solutions, Multichannel Marketing services

* Education Programmes - online education, events, and webinars

* Data, Analytics & Insights Services - intelligence tools, & bespoke analytics

* Consulting - Consulting projects including Commissioning Excellence, Service Redesign, Disease Insight Reports, Network Meetings and more

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in working towards independent sales targets, providing a consultative sales approach.

You will be able to demonstrate a natural ability to establish and build new and existing client relationships.

*Responsibilities *

* Achieve revenue target and activity key performance indicators (KPIs)

* Identifying client's needs and ensure alignment of companies' services

* Develop strategy for expanding scope of existing contracts and identify new business opportunities.

* Maintain and build professional client relationships

* Manage a portfolio of clients, gaining an in-depth understanding of their business issues and how to help address them

* Work closely with internal teams to ensure the client is receiving the highest level of service and excellent performance of campaign programmes

* Actively discuss opportunities within the team to increase the services offered to your portfolio, increasing the revenue generated from it

* Take ownership of quarterly and annual business plans with responsibility for accurate business forecasting.

* Effectively interact with the account team in managing the handover and set-up of campaign programmes, ensuring you are fully and correctly briefed in all aspects of the deliverables

* Monitor/analyse campaign performance and provide detailed and valuable reporting to the client

*The ideal candidate:*

* Educated to Degree level, or above

* A marketing qualification, is desirable but not essential

* Knowledge of the life sciences industry and their sales and marketing techniques, requirements and budgeting and planning cycles

* Proven track record of winning and developing key accounts, within the Pharma/MedTech/Healthcare sector and/or agency environment

* Online/digital experience in healthcare (having sold B2B n client environment or a comms agency)

* Good understanding of marketing to enable empathy and consultative sales strategy to clients and prospects

* Presentation experience at senior level
