We are an essential service and have operated throughout the Covid19 pandemic.

At Thames Water, every one of our actions, big and small, matters every day. Water is essential to daily life, and that means our business is always open.

What you'll be doing
We are looking for an experienced Business Integrity Investigator. The purpose of this role is to investigate unethical behaviour and other dishonest activity that affects Thames Water. You will collect evidence and intelligence on events using appropriate guidelines and procedures to enable presentation to a civil or criminal standard.

We're looking for you to
  • Be able to conduct sensitive and complex investigations and have knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, RIPA, PIDA, and other relevant legislation
  • Knowledge of investigation methodologies, and experience in conducting interviews in line with the PEACE model
  • Have the ability to write complex, lengthy reports, Section 9 statements, and disciplinary management packs
  • Be a self-motivated and organised individual with an analytical mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Quickly learn and use all internal and external investigation tools to a high level and good Excel skills are essential
  • Strong knowledge of open-source investigation methods
  • Proven communication skills are vital with a law enforcement background desirable
  • Occasional travel to other sites and offices from investigations or meetings
What's in it for you?
This is a unique, exciting, and challenging role, reporting directly to our Head of Business Integrity & Investigations.

You will be performing a critical role as a member of our highly professional and supportive Risk, Audit, and Assurance team.

This varied role deals with internal and external investigations and provides you with good exposure to many areas of the business. Liaising effectively with a wide range of people, including senior management, local authorities, other water companies, law enforcement, and the general public.

Our competitive salary package includes an excellent contributory pension, 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service and a wider benefits scheme.

We're proud of the positive ways of working we have adopted during the pandemic. We want to create a more flexible and dynamic environment so all our colleagues can thrive. For our office-based roles we're moving to a hybrid approach where we'll provide options around working from our offices, our operational sites, and home dependent on role/team/individual. This will be discussed during the assessment process.

Thames Water is a unique, rewarding, and diverse place to work. If you join our team, you'll enjoy fast-tracked career opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and unparalleled benefits.
