Job Profile Summary
- This role exists to support the bp Strategy & Sustainability team who are shaping bp's transition to be an Integrated Energy Company - the biggest transformation in the company's history. In 2020, bp launched a new ambition to be a net zero company by 2050, and to help the world get there. In 2021, we announced a new sustainability frame encompassing net zero, environment and people aims.
- The Strategy & Sustainability campaign manager will focus on building employee understanding of the bp strategy and of the sustainability frame; external recognition of bp progress in sustainability among key stakeholders and peers; and help support effective ethics, compliance and values communications internally; and finally will support employee engagement within the Strategy & Sustainability team.
Job AdvertInternal
- Lead planning, insights and strategy for sustainability communications to the employee audience globally.
- Implement central activities and support targeted communications programmes, working with leaders, specialists and other bp communicators.
- Work with bp internal communications partners to support a strong ethics & compliance culture via input to digital content, events and messaging.
- Support internal communications within the Strategy & Sustainability team including maintaining an ongoing plan of townhalls and Yammer in order to improve key employee metrics such as engagement, strategy understanding.
- Support bp's reputation for sustainability implementation, with external communications, events & Linked In, focusing on supporting senior leaders.
- Lead internal and external communications around the bp sustainability report and other relevant corporate reports.
Requirements
- Interested and engaged in the external environment around bp's business ESG, environment NGOs, media.
- Experience of leading communications planning and employee communications practice.
- Experience of at least one external C&A discipline government affairs, media, social, stakeholder.
- Passion for sustainability-related communications & advocacy.
- A strategic thinker who can use insights and run processes to come to a solution.
- Desire to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Tenacious and able to overcome and work around barriers
- A-level or degree-level educated
- Excellent written English
