Part-time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a young gentleman living in the Cardiff Bay area. I am friendly, polite cheerful person. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support and assist me at home and in community.

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to assist me where needed in my home and when taken out to attend appointments or access community.

I would like to continue to do as much as I can for myself and be as independent as possible.

HOURS OF WORK

11.5 hours per week

Monday to Sunday, 30 minute Tea call

6 hours per week, social (Flexible to be used throughout the week)

2 hour, domestic support

RATES OF PAY

£9.70 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

To support with transfers using the sling hoist in place.
To transfer to the bathroom where I will complete my personal care
Apply prescribed cream to my back
Prepare hot meal
Access community
Support with attending appointments
Social activities

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Someone who is flexible, reliable and trustworthy
Someone who is patient and understands my needs
Car driver with own vehicle preferred
Friendly Good sense of humour
Patient and understanding

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
