DIRECTOR OF EUROPEAN ANALYTICS - COSTAR - LONDON

The Marketing Research & Analytics team is the heart of CoStar, capturing market-critical information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact business decisions daily. CoStar Group's research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, retail stores, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities.

CoStar is seeking a Chief Economist & Head of Market Analytics, Europe to build and lead the Europe team as CoStar grows its presence in the EU. The position will also represent CoStar analytics in our video content and serve as a key client contact as well as oversee the production of all analytic content in UK & Europe, including national, market, and submarket-level written narratives; quarterly video updates for each market/property type combination; regular news stories; and presentation content. This role will also work closely with CoStar marketing and sales to produce content outside the paywall.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and lead analyst team in Europe in the production timely, relevant, and insightful analysis of economic and real estate market conditions for inclusion in CoStar's product offering. Content will take various forms including:
  • Written narratives in CoStar's market and sub-market reports
  • Video content
  • News articles
  • Presentation content
  • Interactions and discussions with CoStar customers
• Personally maintain pan-European content, including property-type specific reports, regular video updates, and news pieces.
• Represent CoStar at industry events
• Hire senior talent across key markets in Europe
• Support sales and marketing efforts in Europe, and serve as a key client contact
• Work with CoStar research to ensure CoStar data accurately reflects market trends.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in related field preferred
• 10+ years of work experience in UK and Europe commercial real estate
• Understanding of economic theory, principles and their application across the real estate industry
• Demonstrated writing skills
• Strong data and analysis skills; familiarity with SQL programming a plus
• Polished presentation skills; comfortable presenting on-camera
• Proactive and solutions-focused client orientation
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Expert MS Office Skills
• Strong work ethic, self-starter and be able to work in a team environment
• Significant managerial and hiring experience
• Other language skills desirable: French, German, Spanish.
