Kirsty Craig Associates are working with the Brothers of Charity Services who are a long established and successful charity providing incredible supportive living services to a variety of people with complex health and social needs, across the North West of England. We are an organisation with a big heart now looking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer - CEO (due to the retirement of the existing incumbent) to lead on the effective execution of the organisational strategy and operation of the services, consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the charity.

As a dynamic and strategic leader, as the CEO you will take responsibility for implementing the new corporate structure whilst continuing to develop the role and perspective of the charity in the northwest of England. Working closely with the Board and the SMT, you will leverage the existing expertise within the organisation and create a stronger regional structure and focus, whilst at the same time, inspire and empower others to share in the achievement of the vision of the organisation.

As CEO you will…

• Oversee all aspects of the organisation's activities, ensuring compliance to Statutory Regulations, Corporate Governance and Health & Safety
• Evaluate all plans, operations, and activities of the organisation in relation to achievability, value for money and sustainability impact
• Identify opportunities for development, performance improvement and react creatively to changing circumstances, to ensure goals and objectives are achieved
• Cultivate strong relationships with a broad mix of stakeholders both internally and externally, including public sector bodies, service funders, families, and volunteers
• Provide strong people management and leadership that promotes an inclusive, 'can do,' person centric culture of responsibility throughout the whole organisation
• Ensure that the financial management of the charity is effective, timely and accurate at all time

The successful CEO candidate…

• Must be an experienced senior business leader at board level, commercially astute and with a track record of success within a large or complex organisation
• Has the ability to drive cultural change where it is needed, and take ownership of the charity's strategy
• Is an excellent communicator at any level and is skilled in developing and sustaining positive working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Can evidence effective human and financial resource management
• Has a practical understanding of statutory frameworks including Governance and Health & Safety in relation to company and charity law, policies, guidance, and codes of practice
• Will be forward thinking and innovative in approach, ensuring regular assessment of existing services and that new services and models of service delivery are continually enhanced
• Can demonstrate an understanding of, and interest in, the disability sector and show a third level or professional qualification in a relevant discipline
