Develop innovative commercial solutions to conflicts around the world.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is the UK government department responsible for protecting and promoting British interests around the globe. As well as safeguarding security, we project the UK as a force for good: defending our values, reducing poverty and working with international partners to tackle global challenges. Our work aims to build a safer, healthier, more prosperous world.

As a Commercial Adviser, you will support the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF). This is a cross-government fund that spans 84 countries and territories, delivering innovative solutions to conflicts around the world.

As the CSSF is able to take risks and adapt to fast-moving political and economic situations, your work will be extremely interesting and varied. Your role sits within the Programme Commercial Delivery Team, and you will provide integrated commercial advice across all stages of the commercial lifecycle. This includes pre-procurement, procurement and delivery.

You will manage a specific area of spend that supports the delivery of CSSF objectives. Above all, you will work closely with colleagues to drive additional value and efficiency in our operations.

To apply, you will need experience in leading complex procurement projects, managing stakeholders and suppliers, providing guidance to other teams and delivering sustainable cost savings.

Along with strong strategic procurement, project management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills, you will be able to deal with a wide range of people and have a good understanding of relevant procurement regulations.

Apply before 23:55 on 13 December 2021.
