Domiciliary Care Workers

Advantage Angels Domiciliary Care is a new start up domiciliary nursing and care agency in Ipswich focusing on providing a bespoke and individual service to customers who are living in their own homes. Our aim is to enhance each customers quality of life by providing exceptional person-centred care and support to enable them to remain at home with a package of care that meets all their individual requirements and needs. Advantage Angels Domiciliary Care is a sister company to Advantage Angels Limited, one of the fastest growing national healthcare agencies.

At Advantage Angels Domiciliary Care, we want our staff to have the security of guaranteed hours. We also understand that our staff need to be able to have a good work life balance, to enable our staff to achieve this we offer either a fixed 2 week rolling rota or flexible working if preferred, both with alternate weekends off. Unlike other domiciliary care providers, we have a minimum call length for each of our customers of 3 hours and a call could be up to 12 hours this will enable staff to provide quality care, in a relaxed, unrushed manner and to build up a rapport.

Domiciliary Care Worker duties can consist of:

· Providing exceptional person-centred care and support to all customers

· Assist with meal preparation and assistance

· Prompt/ administer medications

· Provide high standards of personal care

· Support with housekeeping

· Support with shopping

· Support with pets

· Provide companionship to prevent loneliness

· To accompany/ assist customers out in the community to appointments/ trips/ social outings/ activities etc.

· To ensure all care and support is documented on our electronic care planning system app

· To ensure all our customers are always treated with dignity and respect and that choice, independence, individuality and their privacy is always respected

Requirements & Qualifications

· No experience required as full training and support provided

· Reliability essential

· Full commitment to the company and our customers

· Flexibility with working hours

· Must be kind, caring, empathetic, approachable and understanding

· Sense of humour a must

· Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)

· Drivers preferred

· Weekend work essential
