Job description

Prospectus are excited to be working exclusively with a children's hospice to help them recruit for a new Community Events Fundraising Manager to join their growing team. Our client looks after children and young people aged from birth to 19 years old who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. The facility is set in a large estate with bright gardens on the borders of Essex and North East London, near Woodford Tube Station on the Central Line, and has been recently renovated giving it a modern, open and positive feel. The income generation team is stationed in a new purpose-built office that is separate to the hospice building itself but set in the estate grounds.

Reporting to the Head of Community Engagement this role is offered on Maternity Cover (1-year fixed post) contract paying £29,754 - £33,886 per annum. They are asking people to come into the office two days a week at the moment with attendance needed a wide range of community and sporting events.

The post holder will grow their community events portfolio, and focus on delivering growth through the community events and challenge events programme. The post holder will collaborate with internal teams and forge vital relationships with external stakeholders to create opportunities and partnerships looking at new ways of working to drive growth across the portfolio. Setting, managing and reporting of budgets are all key elements of this role.

They are looking for a fundraiser with a proven successful track record of planning and delivering community and sporting events to achieve a good return on investment. The ideal candidate will have grown an events programme and increased participation in sporting events for a charity.
