About the BDA

The British Dental Association (BDA) is the voice of dentists and dental students in the UK. We bring dentists together, support our members through advice and education, and represent their interests. We are looking for a Content Editor to join our Content and Digital team. This is a full-time permanent role; We anticipate a hybrid approach to working location, with home working alongside attendance at our central London office.

About you

You are an enthusiastic digital specialist with a true understanding of not only what makes great content - but what makes it work online. You understand audiences and know how to reach them.

You'll have the chance to share your expertise by creating compelling, accessible, and unique website content. You will work with the content manager to plan and deliver a calendar of high quality and engaging content that engages our members, while being of interest to a broader audience.

About the Role

The post-holder will be responsible for researching and producing blog posts, news articles and website copy to promote the BDA, and our core objectives and purpose; editing and restructuring articles by content contributors; reframing complex and technical writing into accurate, accessible, and engaging content for all.

The post-holder will also be required to interview relevant stakeholders and write an engaging piece of content to reflect their needs; monitor quality control established by the content manager to ensure messaging is consistent and on brand, and that content is engaging; generate new ideas and collaborate with the team to create fresh and creative content around industry-related topics and keeping our audience in mind.

The successful candidate should have experience of developing content for websites and social media; strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail and understanding of content marketing and SEO. Strong organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise workload are essential as well as working well individually and collaboratively as part of a team

We're a supportive and collaborative bunch who work together to try out new ideas and suggestions. We aren't afraid to experiment if we think something will work well for our audience.
