Your role will be operationally focused, working closely with your team(s), building relationships through training, coaching, staff development and the organisation of your staff team's rotas. You will take the lead to actively promote and demonstrate the Group's commitment to effective health and safety, working with contractors to ensure that all requirements are adhered to.Preferably located in the Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire area and working from home you will require flexibility to cover a wide geographical area across London and the SE, some overnight stays are anticipated as part of this role.You will continually identify innovative and safe working practices, as well as following and implementing budgetary controls. You will act as the line manager for an operational workforce of internal and external contractors monitoring and managing work volumes and ensuring the high level service delivery.For more information please download our job profile available on our websiteMore about youWe are looking for a candidate who can bring several different management skills to the team, someone who will lead by example 'hit the road running' and 'get stuck in'. You will be working within a small existing team managing an existing settled portfolio. Previous experience in a similar position is essential, and experience of managing a direct and sub contracted delivery service in a multi-site horticultural /soft services environment is likely to be key to your success.For this role, you will need a full valid driving licence and would be beneficial to have a trailer licence (B+E) or have passed your driving test prior to 1997 and have this entitlement.
