Livestock Information Limited (LI Ltd.) is a company jointly owned by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) and Defra. Established in 2019, it was created to deliver the Livestock Information Service, providing world-leading standards of livestock traceability in England, replacing the three current traceability services for cattle, sheep, goats and deer, and pigs.LI Ltd. is built around a model of collaboration, working in partnership with the government and industry, and because it is a new company, this is an exciting time because our recruits will be part of shaping the organisation. The Livestock Information Service we are building is, for our industry, unique because it's being co-created, by industry and by government.We are currently recruiting for a Data Development Support Analyst to join us at a key development stage in our business. This role has responsibility to create and embed innovative solutions to improve data collection, processing, storage, and visualisation of key agricultural market information and support those solutions with varied stakeholders. We are looking for a proactive candidate with expert knowledge in developing data visualisation dashboards, ideally using PowerBI.The position is Home Based, with occasional travel for meetings.Develop innovative reporting solutions that will increase the value of the data delivered statutory bodies or industrySupport, design and implement consistent data collection and reporting processesSupport day to day running of the LI data environment including monitoring, problem, and incident fixes.Actively investigate ways of utilising the latest software available to present data in clear, concise, and innovative ways and use this knowledge to create interactive dashboards for the benefit of both internal and external stakeholdersUse skills and experience to improve existing data collection and reporting processesWork closely with stakeholders clear and valuable information is developed and supported to allow value to be gained from LI's data and data that may sit outside the organisationSeek to improve reporting and analytics within LI continually improving the service given to the internal and external stakeholders.Train and develop other D&A team members and users in the use of BI Software and coach individuals on how to deliver innovative solutions.Professional qualification, ideally to degree standard in IT or another numerate discipline, or equivalent experienceExtensive experience of developing data visualisation dashboards preferably using PowerBI and creating reporting or analysis solutions using large volumes of dataExcellent working knowledge of the Azure Stack and considerable experience querying databases (SQL)Extensive experience of modern data warehousingHigh level of attention to detailConfident communication skills with Excellent planning and organising.Benefits here are just a few things we offer to attract and retain the right people.An extensive benefits package including 33 days annual leave plus one privilege day (inclusive of Bank Holidays)A single private medical health schemeLife assurance cover (4 x salary)A market-leading defined contribution pension scheme with Legal & GeneralExcellent training and development opportunities and an agreed development planAccess to government Childcare Voucher SchemePerkbox membership this gives you a huge number of online discounts and savingsIf you are looking to work for a friendly, focused, and driven organisation, please apply now or call if you require any further information.We reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive a significant number of suitable applications.Ref: (MP)
