As a member of Dean Healthcare's support staff you will join our dedicated team at a small home, working with adults & young adults with profound learning disabilities, dementia and/or autism - some of whom may present challenging behaviour. We aim to promote independence, personal development and facilitate informed decision-making in accordance with our service users' unique needs and wishes, contributing to and adhering to personal care plans at all times.

The positions will require providing 1:1 support where you will be assisting our residents with their day-to-day activities, including morning & evening routines, help with food preparation at mealtimes and supporting our residents in attending appointments. Some of our younger service users attend college. We also encourage our services to access their local community and pursue their own interests and hobbies.

As this home provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week services, we can offer you a variety of hours, including early, late, waking night and weekend shifts.

*Requirements*

· Minimum of *6 months experience* within the health and social care sector

· Positive Intervention training required for many shifts - *we provide this free of charge*

· A passion for promoting independence and well-being with residents and fellow staff

· An imaginative and innovative approach to care

· A comfortable and professional attitude to all levels of personal care

· Experience or training in manual handling, including use of hoists - *we provide this free of charge*
