Summary
I am recruiting on behalf of a new nursery in Earls Court, it has great transport links and a lovely and dynamic team. This Nursery was established in 2018 . . It offers a Nursery and Therapy Centre on one site on Fulham Road SW10 this is an early-intervention centre for mainstream children and children with special
needs and autism.

They are unique in that they are the first Centre in the UK to offer a holistic
service - everything you need is under one roof meaning early diagnosis and focused
interventions are immediate.

They offer a first class, supportive and friendly service to all parents and children and value working in partnership as one Team for the benefit of their
children and families, specifically targeting the areas that children with autism may need
support with: social communication, joint attention, motor skills and sensory issues. The Nursery is open for 48 weeks of the year, with planned closure dates at Christmas (2 weeks)
and in the summer (1 week) with 5 additional inset days during the year.

They are looking for a dedicated, friendly, and compassionate Level 3 qualified SEND Nursery
Nurse to come on board at this exciting time and help them to continue to grow their Nursery
into a world class centre, dedicated to supporting the needs of its children.

Overview of the Role
• You will be a highly skilled Early Years Practitioner with experience of or an interest in SEND
• You will have at least 2 years post Lv3 qualification experience
• You will be required to deliver high quality support to a small group of children within our
specially designed nursery, being part of a small team, which includes other LV3
practitioners, students and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
• Key person for a small group of children with special needs (1 to 3 Ratio)
• Liaising with parents, carers and Therapists on all aspects of the child's care and
development
• Liaising with on-site and external therapists and other health/social care professionals to
ensure children are reaching their full potential
• Use of the EYFS framework to underpin observation, assessment and planning, and to plan
next steps in each goal/targeted area
• Reviewing therapy reports/Education, Health and Care Plans to inform your planning and
support for key children
• Developing and updating Individual Education Plans for each child you have key person
responsibility for, in partnership with parents, Therapists and specialists
• Creating and monitoring a range of play-based learning activities as part of the Petra's Place
curriculum to deliver to the children in small groups or independently
• Being a motivated team player but should also have the ability to work on your own
initiative to develop or suggest new programmes where you think they are needed and will
add value
• Recording observations and linking this to the EYFS/SEND frameworks using FAMLY Nursery
management system
• To support children in daily activities such as eating, dressing, hygiene and free play
• Providing personal care for the children where required.
Essential requirements
• At least 2 years-experience of working in a childcare/nursery/school setting with an
understanding of the additional needs of SEN children
• A full and recognised level 3 or above qualification in early years or equivalent
• Strong knowledge and experience of using the EYFS framework to underpin observation,
assessment and planning
• The ability to reference exceptional dedication to childcare.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
