Job description

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office are seeking an (EO Grade) Associate O365 Information Manager to join their team. This role is remote working with very occasional visits to the office in London.

Team: Foreign and Commonwealth Office | Information & Technology

Initial contracts will run for 6 months with the possibility of extension and offer a rate up to £400/day.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. This engagement has been assessed by the public body as Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

This role requires Active SC (Security Check) clearance. Applicants require active SC clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred. Candidates should be sole UK nationals. Candidates without clearance will be considered but this will delay onboarding by 6-8 weeks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing information management technical expertise to FCDO staff on the use of Microsoft 365 applications Forms, Lists, Power Automate, Stream and Teams;
  • The setup of external collaboration with connected organisations through the creation and maintenance of access packages in Azure AD;
  • Supporting the creation of a new single Intranet in support of FCDO transformation.
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects, creation of new processes using Microsoft 365 applications, user testing and providing early life support to ensure successful deployment of new Microsoft features;

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Working knowledge of the Power Platform Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI
  • You will have knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD and experience in information/records/data management or information/data governance.
  • Analytical skills to find solutions to problems with the ability to communicate effectively to end users
  • Have worked in an Agile or similar multidisciplinary environment
  • Familiar with O365 Admin
  • Power Automate experience is extremely sought after

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • An understanding of information architecture
  • Experience of working to challenging timescales

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 - General visas are cannot be accepted. This role requires that candidates be willing to undergo BPSS (DS) Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland).
