Job description
Division DescriptionThe Finance & Accounting Division is made up of a number of core finance teams both at business unit and Group level. We perform a key management and control function in ensuring all Group financial and management reporting processes are appropriately governed. The Finance Division has overall responsibility for driving the Group budgeting and forecasting process, developing Group-focused financial insight and analysis and delivering the Group's statutory, regulatory and external reporting. We do this through collaborative business partnering in each of the Divisions and with centralised Finance shared / specialist services.Purpose of the RoleReporting into [Finance manager / Head of Finance - Outsourcing] and provide commercial insight and supportSupport day-to-day project management, including driving daily reviews to align on action tracker, timelines, roles and responsibilitiesKey AccountabilitiesBusiness CaseSupport in populating the Outsourcing business case from a cost perspective and support in monitoring and reporting of Outsourcing costsProvide support on accounting requirements and work closely with Financial Control team through the migration processWork collaboratively with Product Finance BPs in refreshing the business caseCommercialsSupport the [Finance Manager / Head of Finance - Outsourcing] in broader engagement on the commercials with the business owners to ensure outsourcing solution is reviewed, aligned and appropriately signed offSupporting in liaison with the supplier and their representatives to ensure the best value for money deal for BOIUKSupport the Commercial negotiation by collating responses in relation to contractual terms, and in ensuring a robust arrangement for BOIUKSupport the [Finance Manager / Head of Finance - Outsourcing] in populating front end comms of the financials/commercials and preparing of presentation - supporting liaison with CFO, Product owners as requiredCost management and reportingSupport with preparation of materials to support alignment and sign-off of outsourcing proposals and preparation for key meetings esp. Steering committees and Boards- in particular, ensuring the messages are succinct and relevantSupport in ongoing review, monitoring, challenging, actualisation and providing LBV of costs to support the Programme managersSupport testing around migration of data, accounting treatment including reconciliations and defining of the process flowAssist in collating wider finance function's reporting and MI requirements to ensure the commercial and solution teams are aware of our requirementsWhat is the opportunityWorking at Bank of Ireland doesn't have to mean working in an office to have an impact.
