Job description

• Head of Data Governance (Finance)
• UK-based (must be willing to re-locate to Lisbon, Portugal after 3-6 months)
• c£90,000 to £95,000 per year

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience working in a corporate managerial position within financial services and data governance
• You must of used Data Governance to make key business decisions and not just for regulatory and compliance purposes my client use Data Governance for decision making
• Must of worked on financial transformation projects for automating services
• At least 10 years of work experience in Business/Data Management and/or Finance Systems gained in an international work environment
• Must have worked on a corporate level and have experience with SAP central finance systems
• Someone that has used Data Governance externally and not just internally that can help evolve the central finance systems and master data.
• Mus of Implemented global systems that standardise Master Data.
• Comfortable with data management and analytics
• Lead the corporate finance data governance function, providing direction and coordination on the domains of governance policies, processes and standards to ensure data quality, integrity and security
• Engage with senior internal stakeholders, gathering business requirements, aligning and coordinating the design of the data models to gather the required data/info;
• Lead a team of specialists in finance data governance, data integrity & finance systems, including resource planning and individual target setting
• collaborate with central IT for data related technology directions
• Ensure the completeness of Finance Data Taxonomy (Ownerships, Local vs. Global data, Data Hierarchy)

The Opportunity:

My client are a multi-national business currently looking to hire a Head of Finance Data Governance. You will formalising the data governance and facilitating data governance implementation through the domains. As a Head of Finance Data Governance you will coordinate data integration and collection with System Governance, Master Data Integrity and EAD. In this role you oversee the development of enforcement mechanisms for ensuring policies, processes, and standards are followed - eg defining and maintaining data management framework for consistent data & reporting usage.
