HR Assistant / Coordinator - Bristol (Cribbs Causeway) - £22-24,000

Well Placed HR are delighted to have been engaged by a sizeable regional retail business with multiple sites throughout the southwest and south Wales. The business has experienced significant growth since the lifting of restrictions and now seek to recruit an HR Assistant to work with the Senior HR Manager. This is a permanent, full time opportunity which will be principally based in the Cribbs Causeway area, but with some travel to other sites as required.

This is a broad and interesting role with a key focus on delivering high quality HR and health & safety advice and support across multiple retail outlets. The business takes its people management strategy very seriously and the successful candidate will act as a key contact to line managers and colleagues, as well as supporting the HR Manager with ongoing development of the function. The HR Assistant will also play a lead role in liaising with health & safety partners to ensure that all sites remain safe and compliant. Key responsibilities to include:

- Assist with all aspects of company recruitment and the onboarding process

- Work with colleagues and management team to ensure that all HR and H&S documentation is correctly filed

- Work with payroll to ensure that new starters and leavers are correctly processed

- Play a key role in the maintenance of the company's HR systems

- Support the HR Manager in implementing and developing improvements and initiatives

- Liaise with external H&S consultants to ensure compliance

- Arrange H&S training for staff

- Accident reporting and liaising with insurance providers

For this role we're seeking an experience HR Assistant with at least two years of recently gained experience in a similar environment and ideally (though not essentially), working to CIPD level 3. A sound understanding of HR legislation, procedures and policy is essential, as are strong IT skills. Needless to say, the role calls for a candidate with strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. This position marks an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to increase their skill level whilst working with a very friendly and experienced HR Manager.
